YOU’VE CHANGED

THOUGHT:
God and man experienced an uncomplicated intimate friendship in the garden of Eden. It was the way it was always meant to be. No fear of judgement, no shame, no hindrance. Just a deep loving relationship that was life itself.

Sin changed all that. It severed what was natural and fulfilling. Sin interrupted a natural order and disturbed the peace -globally. For the first time, man was afraid so hid from God. And, well, we have been hiding ever since.

You have changed!

You are part of the human race that has changed and fallen from its original plan and purpose, which is to reflect the image of our Maker. Adam’s sim has affected us all. The whole planet is out of balance. This is the most vivid picture of how our choices today affect our descendants tomorrow.

Thank God for His plan of salvation. That God is reconciling the whole world back to Himself through Jesus Christ. Our only hope of changing back to what God originally made us to be is found in relationship with His Son, Jesus.

TIME TO THINK:
God saves us and restores us for relationship.
What relationships do I need to work on fixing or making better?

PRAYER:
Father, I’m sorry that sin has disconnected us all from You. And I’m sorry for all the sins I have committed against You and others. Thank you for Your love and mercy. Thank you for Your saving grace. Help me walk in Your love with You and others around me. Amen.

You Are Not Under Attack

Too often I hear you and others say, “I’m under attack” when the enemy is harassing you. That’s not a victory mind-set, and you should not go into battle declaring you are under attack. Beloved, the attack is under you.

The enemy is under your feet, and you are seated above him – in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. So change your perspective. Yes, the enemy may be attacking you, but you are not under his attacks – you are over them. Speak and act as if you believe that.

I repent for not standing in my authority in Christ when the enemy comes against my life. Thank You for reminding me who I am in Christ. Will You strengthen my heart and pour out a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him?

A road to repentance

Grace Leads You To Repentance

God loves His children by leading them into repentance. A Father who loves His children will not let them remain sick. He will make sure that they get well.

The first step in being made well is realizing that you are sick, and the first thing God’s grace does is to teach you to realize your need for Him.

Luke 15:11-32 tells the story of a prodigal son who was led to repentance by the love of his father. The prodigal son turned his back on his father and used his inheritance to indulge in a life of sin that ultimately robbed him of his money, home, and friends. Finally, when he had nothing left, the prodigal son decided that he would return to his father’s house and beg to be given a job as one of his father’s servants.

But Luke 15:20 says that “when [the son] was still a long way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.” The father did not owe his son anything. He had every right to reject his son for the way he had shamed his family. But instead, the father lavished grace on his son. He ran to him and kissed him! Obviously, the father had been waiting for his son to come home for a long time.

How did the son respond to his father’s grace? In Luke 15:21 the boy replied, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.” The boy responded to his father’s grace by repenting of his sins.

This is a picture of our relationship with our heavenly Father. He is always ready to embrace you with open arms. The only thing we need to do is to repent and acknowledge our need for His love and acceptance.

Prayer for the day:

Thank God for loving you enough to see you made well. Pray that you will respond to His love by having a repentant heart.

Why did I lose power?

Discconnected-from-God-e1353518465261Mark 8:36 – 37 [Msg]
36 What good would it do to get everything you want and lose you, the real you?
37 What could you ever trade your soul for?
I felt like I have lost my compassion for the people.  I have become cynical  and callous with  people I spend time with.  I didn’t notice it right away, it wasn’t until one of my associates (who never agrees with anything anyone says unless its negative) agreed with every word that slipped out of my mouth.  I felt the light go on in my head.  I had an internal conversation in that moment…”Am I being TOXIC? Why am I not extending GRACE to people?  Why am I so ANGRY?” For 24 hours I took a break from everything and I traced my steps to see what had changed, where did I shift and miss it?
I had stepped-out on my relationship with God.  I made a turn to do what I wanted to do without seeking God – I remember when I did it.  I chose to do what I wanted to do and not what was best for me.  No studying, no worshipping, no discipline, no nothing good for my soul!!  I reverted back to a place God delivered me from.  I was in CONTROL MODE!
I had lost my eternal perspective on what was important and what was not.  I clearly lost the space where I use to experience God’s unfailing love and amazing forgiveness.  I had become numb to compassion.  I had put on my worldly outfit and stepped out on GOD and was walking in SELF and not faith.
Having & being in Control is one of the areas [Soft Spots] in my life that keeps me from experiencing God to the fullest.  It clearly blocks my way to all that God has for me.
What is the one thing that might be “blocking the way” to experiencing God fully for you?
Pray this prayer with me:
Lord, help me to see how much I lose when I lose you.  My perspective on my life and all of life gets distorted when I don’t make space for You, operating in your love for me.  Your love is better than life and truly I long for more tastes of that love.  Fill me with Your compassion, Your heart, Your eyes, Your ears and use me as a vessel to show YOUR love for me and someone who needs a touch, word or a miracle from YOU, THIS I ask in Your Precious Son’s Name, AMEN!!
