I’ll Turn Every Blessing Into Praise

I’ll Turn Every Blessing Into Praise

Jesus followers—and even people who are unsure of God—often respond to tragedy by first appealing to God for help and then questioning His intentions. Either way, difficulty has a way of making us aware of our dependence on God. In these moments when He is all we have, hopefully we can realize that He is all we need.

For Job of the Bible, this was no mental exercise. Job actually experienced the loss of everything he held most dear in life. How did he respond? His book is where we get the phrase, “blessed be the name of the Lord!”

In both trial and blessing, a grateful heart returns praise to God. When we fail to praise God for His blessings, we make fertile soil for poisonous seeds of pride in our hearts. Ideas like, “I deserve this, I earned this, and I did this,” begin to take root and overshadow God’s providential work in our lives. When we instead return God’s blessings as praise, we make fertile soil for God to do abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine.

What metaphor is YOUR life?

What metaphor is YOUR life?

1-cor-10-13

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

My life is a series of #TESTS.  When I get to HEAVEN, I will have GRADUATED!!

I have an active, healthy relationship with Jesus Christ.  We spend the mornings and evening in conversation.  He gives me gifts and blessing through out the day.  I never leave home without letting Him know where I’m going or when I plan to return.  Our relationship is strong and secure.  There are times that I feel He is doesn’t give me His feedback because He is testing my character, my faith, my demeanor and my trust in Him.  Sometimes He will leave an extra blessing for me to share with someone else and I often wonder if He is testing me when He does that – SO I ALWAYS look for ways to share.  I often wonder if He would have me share because there are people who don’t know of Him for themselves and I am the only link to HIM for them.  I wonder?  What about you?  Do you know HIM?  Do you share the goodness of HIM with anyone else?  Just thinking out loud.

Every time I pass a test, God notices and makes plans to reward me in HEAVEN!

What #metaphor do you use to paint a picture of your life?  Are you living your life OnPurpose?

I pray you share the goodness of Jesus today…OnPurpose!!

My Testimony is my son♡

My Testimony is my son♡

John 13:7 ~ Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt understand hereafter.

24 years ago – my husband asked me for a divorce – I was giving birth to our son.  If you do not know God and His marvelous Omnipresence – I would love to introduce you.  24 years later – the child that was born of that union changed my life.

When my son was in the 4th grade – he told me – “mommy, that is not very nice what you said about my teacher,”  he added, “I am going to ask Jesus to forgive you.” ~ out of the mouth of my baby…I celebrate Jesus today for bringing me through with Grace, Courage, Beauty, Power, Authority, and Lord knows – I don’t look anything like what I have been through.

There is NOTHING in this world or any other world that God can’t work with.

July 15th my son turned 24 – smart, talented, handsome, strong, positive and delivered!!

My heart, mind, body and soul are in agreement with the love I have for my Savior and my son.

If you think you are in a mess, invite Jesus in – He will clean it us with the quickness!

I can introduce you if you need me to…<3

Here is a prayer you can pray:

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.

I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.

Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life. AMEN.
